What are the defects?
The oil line sealer washers may fail prematurely.
The turbocharger load distribution ring may fail prematurely.
What are the hazards?
Failure of the oil line sealer washers may result in an oil leak which could cause engine damage and/or result in engine seizure.
Failure of the turbocharger load distribution ring could result in engine failure and possibly an engine fire.
What should consumers do?
The consumer should contact their nearest Mercury Marine dealer at https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/au/find-a-dealer/ to arrange for the engine to be rectified.
The consumer should not use the engine until the rectification has been carried out.
